A cricket club can’t function without a band of willing volunteers.
March 2019 has been a busy month for Cheshire Cricket Board’s ECB Coach Support Worker course and Poynton Juniors have seen twelve volunteers take the step up to gain this qualification.
Learning how best to support the club’s coaches, the days have been filled with practical activities and advice on how best to help deliver training sessions.
It’s been amazing to have such fantastic support from parents who want to get involved with making Poynton a great place for children to play cricket.
With increasing numbers, we always welcome support from our parents. You don’t need to be an experienced cricketer or have any relevant qualifications, all we ask is that you get involved, have fun and help the children enjoy playing cricket.
Contact your child’s coach if you’d like to help. Remember, the more adults that are involved in a coaching session, the more support, involvement and opportunities the children get within the sessions.
