NECCC Juniors is an established and thriving junior cricket club in Poynton and Disley. We have approximately 200 players between the ages of 6 and 16 enjoying all levels of cricket and improving their skills through our winter nets programme, summer training on Friday evenings and 15 competitive league teams across the age groups.
We have over 20 ECB qualified coaches and many other volunteers who facilitate the development of young cricketers’ physical, technical and tactical skills in a fun and safe, yet competitive, environment.
As an inclusive Club, whether our juniors are just playing with friends for fun, want to focus on improving their physical and social skills or are aspiring to progress through the County cricket pathway, we accommodate all abilities for girls and boys.
For further details on how to join NECCC Juniors and the cost of membership, please e-mail us.
Cricket training starts with our ‘Mini Jets’ sessions for our Under 7s (year two) to introduce the basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding. Competitive league cricket starts from Under 9s (year four) with a range of teams at each age group to accommodate all abilities in both our local High Peak Junior cricket league and also the Cheshire county league.
Summer training starts at the end of April and runs to the end of July with our fun and vibrant activities from 6.30pm on Friday evenings at Poynton Sports club. Winter training to prepare for the season ahead is held at Cheadle Hulme school between February and April with age appropriate sessions.
