Welcome Jets fans, the start of the new season is nearly here and the air of anticipation is so thick you could cut it with a stump. The number of players in the NECCC fantasy database is in the nervous nineties, so we will guide you through some of the main point makers last season and help find the players which will make you the Fantasy Cricket Champion of 2019.
If you haven't already - sign up and create your team here!
We'll be delivering you the previews that will guide you to fantasy glory over the next few blog posts, but first there have been a lot of changes to the points system to make it more rewarding for players doing well, and more punishing when they don’t, so let's dive right into the rules of engagement.
- £35 million budget for a team of six North East Cheshire players.
- The gameweek will advance every Saturday at midday; the same time as transfers and captain changes are processed. So make sure your line up is set!
- Points are scored across 1st-5thXI fixtures
You can change your team at any point during the Season, and you also get 1 free transfer each week. Additional transfers are permitted, but will incur a cost of -20 points per transfer. When a captain is transferred out of a team, the team will be without a captain, so don't forget to select a new one.
Transfers and captain changes may be submitted at any time but will not take effect until midday the following Saturday, so they are active for the upcoming gameweek. Please note that transfers are free and unlimited up until midday on the date of the first match.
Team managers will be able to play one transfer wildcard per season, which will allow them to make free, unlimited transfers for one week only.
Should a players value increase at any point during the season, then teams who have selected that player shall recieve the difference as additional budget when making transfers. Players will be transferred out at the same value they were bought for, regardless of any price change.
Should a players value decrease, teams will lose that amount from their transfer budget (as long as the budget remains above the original limit).
Each team can select a captain who will earn double points each week. You may change your captain each week if you wish.
You will be able to boost their captain to receive triple points for one week only at any point during the season.
Each team must contain 6 players and the make-up of each team is flexible in terms of how many players can be selected from each position. Other than a compulsory batter, team managers may select any number players up to a maximim of 3 bowlers, 2 all rounders, and 1 keepers. Teams must select at least one player in each position.
