The club is extremely proud to have been strongly represented by our young cricketers over the past seven days in the Cheshire Cricket Board District Week. This annual half-term event gathers the strongest young players in the county into regionalised squads to face off against each other in a full programme of fixtures.
Within these selections were three North East Cheshire players for the Boys U15s squad, one Girls U13 and an astonishing eight representatives for the Girls U11s. Congratulations to Will, Rory, Ed, Abi, Gracie, Alice, Fern, Hannah, Imogen, Freya, Ivy and Megan!
All performed admirably and were a credit to themselves and the club with some real individual highlights along the way, particularly Rory’s unbeaten 72* from just 59 balls at Neston on Wednesday.
Rory, Will and Ed are back in action for the senior sides over the weekend, continuing to strengthen the Jets’ player development pathway. Meanwhile the women & girls cricket offering goes from strength to strength with continued investment. Keep an eye out for more news on this front as June is the ECB Women’s Big Cricket Month.
