On a wet Wednesday evening in March, the ladies’ team played their final indoor match of the winter.
Playing in Cheshire CB’s Women’s Indoor Soft Ball League has been a great development experience for the ladies, not only using the skills learned in training drills in a match environment but also starting to learn and understand the pairs format of the game.
The final game ensured victory for our ladies as our two teams faced each other but was great to hear was the ladies saying, “I could have done this better by…, I’ll know what to do next time.” It was a close game, the victorious “pink” side taking only a seven run victory over the “citrus” team.
Let’s hope that the season doesn’t bring more wet Wednesday evenings to dampen our enthusiasm and training. Bring on more matches this summer!
